How to cut my own hair?

Ok so i have shoulder length hair and everyone thinks i shoukd get a front fringe… Even the hair dresser!
Mum won’t take me to the hair dressers because i just got it cut… She let my sister cut her own hair and she had no experience… She has a mad hair cut now it looks professional… I cut my hair once and it turned out great… so if mum lets me cut my own fringe…
How do i do it… I have a comb, sharp scissors, straightner and a steady hand… If it turns out bad well to bad…

comb enough hair that you want to make into a fringe, and put it infront of your face u want to then just cut all of it half way, this will make it easier for you to now cut it shorter, you want to wet it so you can cut perfectly, because with it dry parts of the hair could be shorter or longer than wha t it actaully is. remember a fringe isnt all about cutting it dead straight, it needs to curve from the side. if it turns out wrong and abit jagged, you can always blow dry your fringe under. that way the jagged edge wont be seen, but its better to leave it long than have it too short

make sure your hair is dry, hair shrinks as it dries and if you cut it wet, your bangs (that’s american for fringe), will shrink up and can end up too short. separate the section you would like for the bangs from the rest of your hair with a comb. tie back or clip the rest of your hair so it doesn’t get accidently cut. comb the hair straight down and trim carefully, avoiding your eyebrows. i would cut them a bit longer so you can play around with the length and see what you like. you can razor cut them to thin them out a bit or point the scissor upwards and make little snips. good luck

When I’ve cut my own fringe in before what I did was make sure I had completely straightened every inch of my hair first. The best way for me was to make a very small parting across the front of your head perpendicular to your parting – this gives you the base for your fringe (make sure it is SMALL not a big one otherwise you’ll really mess things up!) . You kind of need to work from there really – just cut! Make sure the line is straight and aim to cut it quite long initially (this gives you a lot of room for error in case you make mistakes) and then gradually shorten it and then finish below your eyebrows… You’ll also need to probably soften the edges to the rest of your hair so prepare to do alittle feathering work either side. Getting your fringe cut in at a hair dresser really shouldn’t cost you a lot of money – maybe £5/7 so if you’re too scared then go see them!

First of all, you should never cut your own hair unless your an expert. You should let someone you trust cut your hair if you choose not to go to a hair cuttery.
