3. if side bangs is what you were aiming for, you needed to part a scalene triangle and slide cut!

Picture a mark one …
Picture a mark one inch back from the hairline and centered. Then start at the outer-corner of the eyebrow on each side and draw a line to that mark which will create a triangular section for your bangs. Then divide it into three horizontal sections and cut the bottom, and widest section first and use the length of that first section as a guide to cut the other two.
